Steve joined the LABB in February 2008 after Christina recruited him in Utah. No one knows what drinks were involved. He began his service on the Programs committee. In his other life, Steve works as a Biologist at the US Army Corps of Engineers.
Steve received his MS in Biology in 2000 from East Carolina Univeristy. In 2003, Steve arrived in New Orleans as a bright eyed country boy from North Carolina after serving three years overseas in US Peace Corps. Steve was active in the New Orleans evironmental community for 3 years. The winds of Hurricane Katrina blew Steve and his wife Casey all the way out to Utah for two years. Steve and Casey returned to New Orleans in March 2008 because the thought of having their first child in the state of Utah was just plain scary ("Jr" is arriving in August). That, and mud bugs and oysters are real hard to come by in Utah. Steve has an insatiable desire to stick it to the man and has kindly devoted his free time to helping the Bucket Brigade do just that. |
