Damon Burns, a native of New Orleans, LA, is an Associate Vice President at investment banking firm Morgan Keegan. He is a member of the Louisiana public finance group in which he focuses on underwriting tax-exempt and taxable bonds for infrastructure and private urban/industrial development projects. Prior to joining Morgan Keegan, he served as Program Manager for Louisiana Economic Development’s $200MM Small Business Hurricane Relief Program. The program provided federally subsidized loans and grants to South Louisiana small businesses that were impacted by the hurricanes of 2005. Damon began his career at Comerica Bank in Houston, TX as a Credit Analyst in the corporate banking group. Mr. Burns received a B.S. in Marketing from Texas Southern University and later earned an M.B.A. from the University of New Orleans. Damon is currently enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Urban Redevelopment Excellence Program as a fellow.
