Clayton
Shelvin joins the
Louisiana Bucket Brigade staff as the Volunteer Coordinator. After
graduating with his B.F.A. in Performing Arts from the University of
Louisiana at Lafayette in December 2009, Clayton decided to move to New
Orleans to pursue new opportunities to work with non-profit
organizations. Clayton has experience working with youth organizations
around the country and most recently was vital in organizing the
Louisiana youth movement that helped to make the Louisiana Smoke-Free
Air Act a law. Clayton has traveled around the country facilitating and
doing motivational speaking to kids. He has a general interest in
conference planning, public health, cultural studies, the arts and in
documentary journalism. Clayton has also served as a dance instructor
and choreographer throughout the south and has spent time in New York
City as an actor. He plans to complete a masters degree in non-profit
