The Catholic Campaign for Human Development awarded its annual Human Development award to Kenneth Ford, founder and President of the St. Bernard Citizens for Environmental Quality. The award was presented to Mr. Ford at the annual banquet held last night in New Orleans.
(St. Bernard Parish) A new study of reports submitted by the troubled ExxonMobil Chalmette Refinery to the Department of Environmental Quality has revealed that the refinery averaged approximately six accidents a month for the 13 month period from August 2005 to August 2006.

What:The results of 53 soil samples taken throughout St. Bernard Parish will be presented to residents on Sunday. The samples were taken by St. Bernard Parish residents in early March; the results were received from the lab this week.
